It may sometimes seem complicated to create a virtual machine, especially if you don’t know how to do it. Here is a tutorial on how to make your virtual machine
Step 1 : Install VMWare
You can also use VirtualBox, which is a very good tool for making virtual machines, but for this tutorial I’m going to use vmware. The base will be the same, but some steps will be different. A tutorial will be released soon for the virtualbox soft.
Step 2 : Download a Windows / Linux ISO file
Download a windows 10 iso file
Download an Ubuntu Desktop iso file
Once you got a .iso file which looks like this, you’re ready to go !
Step 3 : Launch vmware and start building the Virtual Machine
Get in the top left menu, and click on “New Virtual Machine”
VMWare will ask you to put your iso file
Depending on the operating system you have chosen, click on the right option
Put the name of your VM and chose the location
Assign it a disk size
Click finish and launch your VM
And yeah, it’s the end. My Windows 10 Virtual machine is working on my Windows 11 laptop computer.
You’ll just have to make the windows installation (which is pretty easy and I don’t think a tutorial for it is needed, but you can ask for it)
